Minnesota Cloud Dancers IAC Chapter 78 this year is hosting it’s 15th annual contest. The Doug Yost Challenge will be held on August 23, 24, 2008 at the Albert Lea Municipal Airport (KAEL) The contest will be Primary through Unlimited Power. Practice and registration will take place on Friday, August 22, and the contest takes place on Saturday and Sunday August 23-24. We plan to have the box open prior to the contest for practice on Monday-Thursday, August 18 through 21. Please contact CD Mike Niccum if you plan to arrive in advance of the contest for practice.

Contest Schedule:

August 18-21 (Mon.-Thus.)  Box Open for Practice - 9:30am-6:00pm

August 22(Friday)  Pilot Registration, Practice flights

August 23 (Saturday)  Contest flights

August 23(Saturday) 8 PM Banquet

August 24 (Sunday)  Contest flights, Awards ceremony, then clean up


Hangar Fees:   Hangar space is limited. Hangar cost is $10.00 daily and payable at registration.

Meals: Friday evening- free pizza at the airport

Lunchtime food at the airport will be provided Saturday and Sunday by:

Saturday night banquet will be at the  Plaza Morena Mexican Restaurant, Northbridge Mall adjacent to the airport.

 

Trophies: Awards for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place all categories, Grass Roots, and First Time Sportsman awards.
